The forecast had been threatening rain all week. I knew we were all compulsively checking the radar the morning of Abigail and Ned's outdoor wedding on the rooftop of The White Room in St. Augustine. While I may be well-practiced in hurricane-like wedding weather conditions, I vividly remember my experience in Key West when a potted palm fell on me just as the maid of honor was making her way down the sandy aisle. Rainy forecasts on weddings days bring me to a near panic. I expected Abby to be a nervous wreck. When she answered the door of her house, she was anything but. She was happy and full of smiles and I immediately felt better about the day to come. We went through the motions of carrying on regardless, and alas- there was nary a raindrop to be found for the entire evening. Abby and Ned's wedding was flawless aside from the threat of a storm that never did show it's face. Thank you, Abigail and Ned, for allowing me to be a part of something so uniquely reassuring. Your wedding was warm, welcoming and comfortable. You both looked fabulous, and of course I look forward to seeing you both when you get home from your honeymoon in London. Congratulations, you two!
I was assisted by Brent Culbertson of
Brent Culbertson Photography for this wedding, so the detail shots, macro shots and some of the others were taken by him. Go check him out! (and thanks, Brent!)
